My name is Ali Hettinger, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Columbia, Missouri. I am originally from just outside of Houston, Texas, but have been living in the Midwest for a good long while now. I entered into the counseling world after seeing and feeling first-hand the pain, hurt, and frustration that takes place simply from living in this world. After getting my Masters in Mental Health Counseling, I have been able to learn and practice in a variety of settings including children's homes, college campuses, with both children and adult in private-practice setting, overseas and state-side worker care, and with international clients from varying religious backgrounds. I am certified and trained in AEDP (level 3), Lifespan Integration, Psychodrama, and other experiential trauma modalities. This year I will complete my advanced year in Somatic Experiencing Training.
When I am not counseling, I enjoy traveling, practicing 90's songs on the ukulele, chasing after new adventures with my family, pushing myself in running, and doing anything where I can be outside. I also love learning and get very excited about new research in terms of psychology, behavior, and social patterns. Things that I am not very good at include downhill skiing, tetherball, and geography.
My name is Jacob Wilhelm, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor from Missouri. I have a wife, Emily, and we have two little daughters, which means you will more than likely see me with a coffee in my hand or on my desk. We live in Michigan, so I will only be seeing people virtually. I am licensed in both Missouri and Michigan.
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri, a post-bacc in Biology, and my graduate degree in Counseling Psychology from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. I am trained in the areas of Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (Level 1 AEDP therapist). Outside of those trainings, I have worked in a couple of different neuroscience research labs looking at: cognition, sleep, emotional and social development.
While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I led a campus ministry and had the privilege to meet thousands of students. I was able to have conversations and develop meaningful, lasting relationships. It was those relationships that sparked a desire to want to pursue counseling; I would have these developing relationships and the question that I would continually hold onto is, “How can I love like Jesus?”. When I look at interactions that Jesus had, he was able to meet the person, or groups of people, where they were at and he would authentically connect. That example, I believe, is at the heart of counseling. How can I be there with this person? How can I connect in a way that brings fullness and authenticity? What if living our authentic self helps us connect deeper to others?
So, that is a little about me. Some other fun tidbits about me: I love books, I love reading, and I love science and philosophy. I taught myself to play 3 instruments and working on a fourth. I’m a St. Louis Cardinals fan and my wife is a Chicago Cubs fan, and I’m working really hard to develop a treasure trove of dad jokes.
My name is Allison Griffin, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated from Missouri Valley College with my Master of Arts in Community Counseling in 2021, and have been working at Restore Counseling Services since 2020. I utilize EMDR, AEDP, MI, IFS and other experiential techniques. I entered the helping profession after experiencing mental health issues firsthand. Through my own struggles, I have seen God work through many areas of my life. I love sharing skills I have learned through my personal journey with others from a Christian and scientific-based perspective.
I live on my family’s farm near Boonville, Missouri with my husband and daughter. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, help out on the farm, plant flowers, go on walks, and play with my dogs.
My name is China Hill-LoBue, and I am a mentor at Restore Counseling. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL, but I now live with my husband and pug in Columbia, MO. I hold a Master’s in Counseling with a school focus, and I am also a certified Mindfulness and Meditation teacher.
For many years, I struggled with anxiety triggered by dysfunctional relationships. It was in that messiness where I learned first-hand how to let go of the things I can’t control and navigate relationships with loving boundaries through a deeper relationship with God. My own experiences are what bring me to Restore. I am excited about helping others have fulfilling, meaningful relationships while also being more present and grounded in their personal lives.
Outside my role as mentor, I am a friend, aunt, sister, granddaughter, and wife. Most days you can find me watching documentaries, walking my dog, or having both meaningful and hilarious conversations with family and friends.
Hi, my name is Kate Boltz, and I am a mentor and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist. I live in the Nashville TN, area. I worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 7 years before coming to join the team at Restore Counseling Services. In addition to providing clinical care, I had the honor and privilege of walking alongside families in times of celebration, uncertainty, and grief. I am passionate about helping individuals come to a better understanding of themselves and experience genuine connection with others. I have special interest in the areas of perinatal mental health and worker care, on and off of the mission field.
I love a great cup of coffee with a good friend. I enjoy playing with my kids, spending time with my friends and family, playing cards and board games, sitting around a fire, and traveling with my husband both domestically and abroad. In my free time, I volunteer with the youth at our church, and I care deeply about investing in the next generation.
My name is Janna Segovia, and I am a mentor and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist at Restore Counseling. Though I have a degree in Communications and am slowly working on a Masters of Divinity, it is my affinity for people that brings me to Restore. I have spent the majority of my life traveling, which has given me a deep value for listening to and understanding others. I know the importance of being “seen”.
As a Christian, I believe we are created with the capacity and propensity for Life. I want to be with people in their journey, creating space for hope, healing, and holistic health.
On a personal note, I enjoy the arts, but don’t really make time for them. My time is spent investing in our family and friends and the spaces we fill. Consequently, the basement is my nemesis. I enjoy studying and do not enjoy bland food. I wish we could live outside, but so far that hasn’t proven practical. When I’m quiet, I find myself contemplating God, humanity, and the integration of both.
Hey! My name is Diego Huaman, and I’m a mentor at Restore Counseling. I'm originally from Columbia, MO, and my passions for people and music have taken me all over the world. I graduated from Berklee College of Music and worked for several years in Los Angeles making records and enjoying the west coast outdoors. While collaborating with many gifted artists, I learned that some of the best music was captured when artists felt totally comfortable to be vulnerable. Through the collaborative process of music, I discovered my love for psychology and knowing people.
I experienced firsthand just how powerful this practice was in helping me process my own pain and story. Like the woman at the well, I ran back to all my friends and couldn’t help but share what I had learned, loving every moment I’d get the chance to walk with another.
If I'm not out somewhere exploring the world or camping, you can find me reading books on spirituality, psychology, and adventure. I love playing the saxophone and guitar, finding the best coffee shop in any town I’m in, hiking off-leash trails with my dog Yoshi, and having deep meaningful conversations about God and life.
Hi friends! My name is Tressa Hickman, and I’m a mentor at Restore Counseling. I live in Columbia, Missouri, with my husband and our dog, Honey. My career began in pediatric occupational therapy in schools and clinics, where I spent much of my time teaching children how to regulate their emotions through sensory and movement based strategies. What fuels my desire to be a Restorative Mentor goes beyond my professional passions and reflects my own personal healing journey. Through deep-rooted prayer, therapy, and the support of others, I’ve experienced profound hope and healing, and I feel called to offer that same empathy and support to others. Being a restorative mentor, where I can create a safe space for clients to feel their emotions with compassion and understanding, is a true honor.
Some of my favorite things in life: all things Mexican food—especially fresh chips and salsa outside, good music with the windows down, quality time with my family and friends, my church, cooking and trying new recipes, hunting for the perfect thrift find, expressing myself through art, fashion, and makeup, and cozying up with fuzzy socks, a good book, or an old rom-com.
I’m so excited to walk with others on their healing journey in an authentic and meaningful way.

Hi, my name is Luke Hettinger, and I am a Mentor at Restore Counseling. I grew up in Northeast Missouri and moved to Columbia with my wife and kids in 2016. I have been in ministry for over 20 years and hold a master’s degree in Church Revitalization. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist and a certified Soul Care Practitioner.
Throughout my time in ministry, I have worked with various people in all types of life situations, including individuals and couples coming from a wide range of backgrounds. It is an honor and privilege to walk alongside people, helping them identify and overcome obstacles that may be keeping them from a life of purpose and connection, which we as humans are created for.
Some of my favorite things are enjoying a good cigar around a campfire, skiing on water and snow, watching a good action movie, and playing Catan with my family—even though my wife beats me more often than I’d like to admit!
Hello! My name is Jenny and I am blessed to be on the Restore staff team as the Care Coordinator. I work remotely with my daughter at home, so you may hear a little voice from time to time when calling Restore. I joined the Restore staff in July of 2024 after working for my church for 12 years.
Some things I enjoy are spending quality time with my husband and daughter, having a good laugh with close friends, being active, and enjoying good food. Before having our daughter, we loved to play volleyball multiple nights a week and look forward to one day jumping back into it.
I love what I get to do at Restore and look forward to connecting with each of you!
